It is my firm belief that WHERE I SPEND ETERNITY rests upon the answer to this question. And, if THIS is true, its importance cannot be minimized...agreed? So...who has the truth? Is it one of 1000 religions throughout the world? Is it possibly to be found in all of them? If we narrow it down, could it be a branch of the hundreds of denominations, and/or sub-denominations of Christianity?I propose that most would agree that some truth is known by ALL religions and denominations of the world. It is, after all, intrinsic, that is,(basic, fundamental, central) to man's nature, to seek to discover truth and to build his life upon it. Out of these efforts have come mathematics, industry, technology and government...things which, to succeed, are founded upon absolutes. These accomplishments of man have not been established haphazardly, but with extreme tedious care and thought.
If it is with such diligence that we develope things necessary for physical life on earth, (which is temporary), to what degree of diligence should we resolutely go to know and acquire that which must exist for spiritual life with GOD? (WHICH IS ETERNAL!)
ETERNITY TRUTH...is NOT primarily an idea or conceptual standard...TRUTH IS ALIVE...embodied in and proceeding from a LIVING BEING, and that being is GOD!
Those who acknowledge that there is a God acknowledge also that God is a God of relationship...that He desires to know us and desires to be known by us.
Truth that is...God from Eternity...must be simplified to be understood by those who are mere men...therefore God in His wisdom brought truth to us, on our, (man) level, by revealing Himself, His HEART, through a 'man'...and that 'man' is Jesus Christ!
Jesus, born in Bethleham, in the land of Israel, to a carpenter named Joseph and a young woman named Mary, is the HEART OF GOD! As the heart of God, Jesus is also, the TRUTH of eternity on earth.
To this very subject Jesus said, "I am the way, the TRUTH and the life." Jn. 14:6. He also said that if, "you shall know the truth...the truth shall make you free."
