THE GLORY OF GOD...
Life is NOT about our salvation. It is NOT about success or happiness. These things should play a vital role, more or less, but life is NOT to be predicated upon these popular aspects. Life is about God's GLORY.

What is the glory of God? Simply put, it is the manifestation of the invisible person of God. There is an aspect of Glory to be witnessed while in His presence. There is another aspect of Glory generated by each act of man's obedience. Each time the purposes of God are realized, God's glory is involved.

You see, life is not about the manifestation of man, it is about man laying down his own manifestation and willingly, even anxiously, becoming conformed to the image of God. Life is not about bearing 'ME-fruit,' it is about abiding in the vine and being fruited by means of that abiding.

Life is not about God keeping me saved, it is about me surrendering MY-self, MY-will, MY-dreams, MY-body, MY-mind, MY-future, MY-glory, MY-ALL to His habitation and dominion of ME.

It is shameful to suppose that eternity was intended for the perpetuation of ME. Eternity is a dimension of God, and was never intended to be compromised by becoming the dimension of ME! I was to be conformed, transformed, possessed by, consumed by, and transfigured into the BRIDE, (who is essentially the same as the Groom but in another form) in order that life would be the perpetuation of God ALONE, and nothing less.

Consider this thought...If I were to spend eternity in HELL, that would NOT be the worst thing that could result from my meager existence. The worst thing would be to deny or rob God of His glory, the glory that He is seeking, requiring from my life! Of course such denial would deserve hell, but I brought nothing into this world, and that is exactly what I have OF MYSELF to contribute to the world to come...nothing! Therefore I must not go pushing MY way through life, rather, I must live a life of surrender to the wisdom and DAILY purposes of God and His reign being lived out in me.

It is wicked to suppose that God owes me anything! HE DOES NOT!!! We are Blessed beyond our wildest imaginations if only we could see it. Life at its worst is a far greater gift than I deserve or am able to imagine, in that, my being created presents me with an opportunity to EXPERIENCE GOD HIMSELF! To experience God is to FOREVER PARTAKE of all that could ever be desired, (something which is far beyond our finite ability to comprehend now!) Jesus said,"I Am the Door". We are hardly able to imagine what great wonders lie beyond the grand portals of such a "DOOR". We are not told. Paul says that he saw some things that lay beyond the door, but he was forbidden to reveal them... Such was the taste that propelled and consumed Paul, even to a very willing martyrdom.

My friends, God is not in our debt, though willing to reward us. He is not my servant though His will serves me even as it is being fulfilled in me. Many would suggest that, because I am unable to save myself, that God must busy Himself with me to keep me saved, or to perform the victories and the maturities of Christian character that need to happen in my life from day to day. Not so...That would not achieve glory for God. It would simply be God forcing Himself upon me. Granted, it is true that we are his workmanship created unto good works...that He enables us to perform His will. It is also true that God is at work in us both to will and to do, for we are unable to do any Godly act outside of His involvement in it. But, we are not marionettes, nor robots nor puppets, if we were, there would have been no need to create us upon the testing grounds of earth. Just go straight to heaven, do not pass life on earth, do not collect the wages of sin resulting in death.

When Jesus said that he was come that we might have life and that more abundantly, He was not volunteering to become your fairy god-mother. He was showing you the way to the Door. He was showing you the importance of laying down your life, of losing that you might win, of turning your back upon the seen that glitters as gold, and turning your face toward that which is unseen and far above and beyond precious.

MY friend, Jesus will not live your life for you, He will only live His Life through you. He will not share your self-residence with you, He invites you to forsake yourself and put on Christ. "He who finds his life will lose it...he who loses his life for my sake will find it.
