THE SECURITY OF THE BELIEVER IS THE BELIEVERS' CHOICE !

The thought that once you are saved you cannot leave that position is not only heretical, but flies in the face of the love covenant. Salvation is a love covenant by which we, the intended bride, enter, through the marriage vows of faith into a divine love union with Jesus the Groom to the glory of the Father. It is potentially an eternally secure union albeit not unbreakable, as is the case of any covenant. It is binding under the conditions pledged to but becomes powerless in the event of the breaching of its conditions.

I was never forced into salvation, that forced action, though 'hypothetically', for my own good, would not be the conduct of love. To be held within that salvation against my will would equally not be love's action. Salvation is free as is every element of its conception and fruition. I am as free to enjoy and participate in all of its unspeakable splendor and majesty as I am to cast it all aside...Love must allow me to do so, or it is not love.

God cannot act outside of love because that is who He is. The creation of man and angels; of the universe, the stars and the earth, even judgment and Hell itself are the outpouring of a perfectly loving God.

Galatians tells us that God is not willing for anyone to perish, rather, it is His will that all come to repentance and thus into 'life'. Because many refuse to act upon the faith that is theirs does not make God unloving, it is the failure of the individual to act that distinguishes the recipients of salvation from those who lack. Paul also says that they who return to the former life have made of none affect their salvation stating that they are then 'fallen' from grace. We are told that it is only by and in grace that we can stand as believers, therefore to fall from ones' 'secure position' is to lose the total and ultimate sanctuary which our 'stand' provides.

For Love to operate as the Eternal purpose designed, there must be reciprocation and fidelity. Paul tells us the God cannot change nor deny, (alter) Himself, but that if we deny Him, He will also deny us...He must remain faithful to Himself as the 'Love Covenant Maker' when we have become 'faithless'.

Such was the history of a certain disciple named Demos. A fellow worker with Paul and Luke, Demos cast off his confidence having loved this present world some time after entering into the Love covenant. John tells us that under such affection, i.e. the love of this world, that the love of the Father is now not in us. If we think we simply loose our rewards while the Love of the Father is not in us, we have become utterly foolish and deceived. Demos was in covenant love and forsook it for another love, to which Jesus said you can not serve two masters for you will love the one and hate the other, or put another way by Jesus, you will cling to the one and despise the other.

Reason is often easily misguided. We often far prefer to believe a lie and 'justify' ourselves than to face the truth of scripture and the deep inner clarity of the Holy Spirit's voice. This will not change the unchangeable heart of a Holy God, however. "God hates divorce," reads the words of Malachi. This is true of the breaking of an earthly love covenant vow, but infinitely more serious is the divorcing of one's Savior-groom by the unfaithfulness of adultery, i.e. practiced sin.

Once again, it is not God's will for any to perish...so...remain faithful, i.e. fulfill the love into which you were called when you first believed. If you do sin, seek His forgiveness, for He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse, but you must not live within the practice and tolerance of any sin...to do so is to embrace another lover who by the way does not love you.

There are many, many scriptures which demand our attention on this subject. To pursue these, I refer you to the link, "http://www.behindthebadge.net/articles/index.html" . This is a friend of mine who has put up pages on this subject.

May God lead you into all truth!
