STUDY TO SHOW YOURSELF APPROVED, A WORKMEN THAT NEED NOT BE ASHAMED!
We are told by the scriptures themselves, the importance of studying the Bible..."thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, a light unto my pathway." For, it is, "the entrance of your Word that gives light." And we are to, "be ready at all times to give an answer for the faith that lies within us."The interpretation of God's Word has been a cause for war to some...the dividing of the church for others...and the means for still others to choose the embrace of death rather than confess the dictates of the hierarchy of church or state. The study and interpretation of these sacred pages forms the basis of that which we call doctrine. It is with joy as well as a sense of awe that we embark upon this leg of the journey.

Can two walk together...
...except they be agreed? There is no truth, which cannot be made subject to a productive critical exchange among believers. From the most complex prophecy to the most simple parable, (if there were such a thing), honest seekers are rewarded like the Ethiopian Eunich whose many questions were answered by the divine intervention of God through the apostle Philip. |
"And the knowledge of the Lord shall cover the earth as the waters cover the sea." |

"And though I understand all mysteries and have all knowledge...
"...but have not LOVE, it profits me nothing." There are so many reasons why we believe the way we do. The important thing is that in the midst of disagreement we, one...Open our hearts and minds like the Bereans of 'The Acts', who searched the scriptures diligently to see if what Paul had told them was the truth...and two...make every honest effort to love your fellow seeker from a pure heart. Patiently bearing with one another for Christ's sake. |
"Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast. How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings." PS. 36:5,6,7. |

These things are written that YOU may know...
A nest held three newborn robins. I watched over the next couple of weeks as the mother and father fed the little ones faithfully. They did not eat without the parents providing everything. Then an awful thing happened...one of the parents was killed and the other frightened away. This spelled the end for the little ones because they had learned only to depend upon the parent. Again, a man went to a fine restaurant and ordered and ate a wondrous meal. When asked anxiously how it all tasted, there was nothing he could say about the tantalizing meal that would satisfy the appetites of the hearers. It is so fulfilling when the truth of God is made our own. That is why I would like to stimulate your search and correspond with you about your own discoveries. I assure you that God will make all things known to all who seek and ask! |
